UniqueMinds was founded and launched by Alison Bean – an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alison has over 20 years experience working working with children, young people and adults and over her professional career has developed a wealth of knowledge in mental health, trauma, stress and psychological disorders.
Today, Alison predominantly works supporting individuals from frontline services who have trauma related issues borne out of traumatic incidents including murders, child abuse, suicides and road fatalities. She also works intensively with corporate companies whose employees work with high levels of traumatic digital exposure.
Alison is a fully qualified practitioner with a host of qualifications including a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Approaches BSc (Hons), DipHE in Person Centred Counselling, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Rewind Therapy and Imagery Rescripting for Childhood trauma.
As part of UniqueMinds commitment to providing the very latest and ground breaking therapies in clinical Psychology, Alison and her team are continuously expanding their knowledge and expertise. Alison is currently working towards her accreditation as an EMDR Therapist.
