Many children within the school environment may have mental health issues or concerns surrounding their psychological well-being. Counselling services in schools provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for students to talk about their concerns and receive guidance in finding positive solutions.
For over 6 years, UniqueMinds has provided school-based counselling services to both primary and secondary schools. Our Counsellors are specially trained to work with young people and help students deal with issues such as stress, bullying, self-harm, depression, anxiety, family problems, and academic performance.
Our school Counsellors are all registered members of the BACP with up-to-date DBS checks, safeguarding training and indemnity insurance. They work with young people to uncover and address any psychological issues they are having, providing them with the appropriate psychoeducation and knowledge around mental-health before working together to find the best coping mechanisms and approaches that work for them.
We also work closely with the safeguarding teams in each school to ensure we are providing the best support possible for the young person’s emotional well-being.
We are committed to providing an excellent counselling service to schools and constantly strive to ensure that our services are meeting the students needs. We use feedback from school staff, parents, and the students themselves to assess the effectiveness of our counselling service and the evidence we have has shown that our work makes a crucial difference to the emotional well-being and academic ability of young people.
We are proud of the work that we do and the positive impact we are having on the young lives of those we support.
